New York - Autumn/Winter 2006-2007 cont. cont.

Behnaz Sarafpour-
Tight, crisp, cool. More plaids, red lips, never overtly sexy. Just cool.

Bill Blass-
Sexy but girly, with that 70s silky vibe. Smart suits, big belts, pencil skirts, opulent coats - with and without fur.

Chaiken-
Classics with an edge, but a boring show. How many black suits and black dresses do you need to show?

Costello Tagliapietra-
People are saying exciting, I'm saying yawn.

Luca Luca-
Pretty in that Vera Wang, Behnaz, Carolina way, which is never bad but never daring. Totally wearable and covetable.

Marc by Marc Jacobs-
Longer and leaner than the MJ show, but still ragamuffin/grungy with a lot of denim. I like the boxy jackets and skinny layering.

Monique Lhuillier-
Elegant and pretty, but not super-simple. Some flash and poshness, but always expensive and pretty.

Narciso Rodriguez-
Pretty but a little repetitive. And not too thrilling regardless.

Thakoon-
Adorably playful, wearable, quirky but not outlandish, a touch of Paris without the pretension. These would definitely be a reason to get out of bed. [you didnt know that, did you? i've given away too much. the only thing that gets me up in the morning is the challenge of getting dressed and picking out a lipstick (which will promptly disappear 1/3 of the way through my morning camomile and I will forget to reapply).]
